DEMETRIOS GANAS
Mr Demetrios Ganas is being involved in marine industry since 1968.
In 1978 he started up his business as the director of a ship repairing company "AIGEUS".
He was involved in technical matters himself and that is the main reason for keeping all the vessels in an excellent condition, by working on board personally.
In 1984 he bought his first vessel and during the next years he managed to maintain and operate four small tanker ships which were chartered by 'EKO', the Greek Company of Fuel.
In the year of 2000 he owned seven vessels, all time chartered by EKO. Most of them operated in the port of Piraeus providing bunkers to other ships, and two of them were servicing Greek islands. At that period of time he was the only co operator of EKO - ELDA and congratulating references for this company were accepted by their clients.
Today he still works hard not only covering technical matters but also providing specific knowledge for this area that he knows really well.
ALEXANDRA GANA
Mrs Alexandra Gana is the daughter of Demetrios and she is being involved in shipping for many years as well.
She had been always interested in shipping and that is why she decided to study further more about this field.
In 2000 graduated from Liverpool John Moores University, UK, achieving Msc, Bsc, and HND in Maritime Operations. She also worked for English companies for nearly a year in the field of oil trading and freight forwarding.
In November 2000 she became a member of GANMAR SHIPPING and in September 2001 she achieved the Greek License of Shipping Agent for the port of Piraeus, Eleysis and Laurio.
